Donated Funds to help in the education & rehabilitation of handicapped children

Uniways Global recently had the honor of participating in a social outreach initiative at “The Home of Aged and Handicapped” in Utkhana, Nagpur, an institution dedicated to supporting handicapped students for over a century. We donated funds to assist in maintaining their facility and enabling them to continue their vital mission of caring for over 180 specially abled children, encompassing education, living arrangements, and medical treatment.

Inaugurated Sensory Park and Multi-play Station at Kalpataru Special School, Butibori, Nagpur

Uniways Global made a humble contribution of a multi-play station and sensory park with tactile texture sensory floor mats and multi-textured tactile sensory wall panels to Kalpataru Special School, Butibori, Nagpur. This will help the 120+ special students here to learn and understand their environment better and help them socialize with their peers.

Set up of digital classroom for the deaf and dumb students

A digital classroom was set up at the School for the Deaf and Dumb. The school has about 250 students. The digital classroom enables the deaf students to learn visually.

Mobile ‘footpathshala’ for street-children and slum-dwellers

We feel proud to donate a van to UPAY being used as a mobile ‘footpathshala’ to teach children who have limited access to formal education. Thanks to the efforts of the UPAY team, these children are learning how to read and write, they are being taught maths, yoga, self-defence & prayers. UPAY will then try to integrate these children into mainstream education by enrolling them into schools once they are ready.

Donation of e-rickshaw to the shelter for the homeless

An e-rickshaw was donated to Aastha Shelter run by the Sahyadri Foundation under the Government of India initiative to make select cities free of beggars and homeless. The Shelter provides food, accommodation, clothing, medical treatment and skill development to the inmates. The e-rickshaw is used to transport the inmates, shelter volunteers, doctors and nursing staff, as well as to procure needs of the shelter.

Donation of funds to provide healthy meals for underprivileged students

Uniways Global donated funds to Akshat Patra foundation, an organisation which strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day meal scheme in the government schools and government aided schools.
