Book an IELTS test

You can either book your IELTS test online or visit the nearest IDP branch for offline booking.

Here’s how: 

1. Log in to the IELTS by IDP website.

2. Click on the ‘Book Now’ option.

3. Choose your preferred test type – computer-delivered IELTS or paper-based (IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, or Life Skills).

4. Select your test type/module – Academic or General Training for IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, A1 and B1 for Life Skills (be very careful while choosing your desired module).

5. Pick your preferred test location or city.

6. Select your desired date and time slot from the available options.

7. Provide the necessary details and complete your online application.

8. Remember, you’ll also need to upload a clear, scanned color copy of your passport to finalise the process.

9. Proceed to make the test fee payment.

Once you’ve successfully booked your test date, you’ll receive an acknowledgment via your registered email or phone number.

To schedule the Speaking test, you can conveniently book a slot online on your preferred date and time. In case you miss selecting a slot within the provided timeframe, an automated allocation will be made for you. (Note: *This is applicable for Paper-Based IELTS test takers.)
